Problems Cyckit has with Amazon
Amazon Problems
We have problems with Amazon for a number of reasons. This lead us to pulling out as Amazon FBA sellers. We've gone back to being Amazon Merchants and the products [are made] and shipped form New Zealand regardless whether purchased from the Cyckit website or via Amazon.
* Amazon are pro buyer at the expense of the sellers
* No, or limited contact ‘Pre Order Contact’ with Customers to make sure they’ve ordered correctly - we contact customers pre ordering but sometimes they don't reply
* Two days time frame before we have to ship, and before we hear back from customers + penalties for late shipping. Two days is not enough time
* Amazon customers don’t read the installation instructions and if there’s the slightest problem, they give up without contacting us, hence retuning
* Amazon disallow us to supply links to the installation videos to give customers a seamless installation experience
* There is now no Amazon customer service with 'Real People’ for support
* Amazon customers sometimes do not realise the lowers swap out in 10 seconds and do not realise they can purchase Bundle deal
* Some Amazon customers have the ‘click & buy’ mentality without reading simple information
* Amazon customers sometimes make the wrong choice with the size of the lower section and return when it’s ’their mistake’ and they do this with impunity.
We loose every time this happens. It's infuriating to say the least.
And occasionally, the same customer will return twice after purchasing another lower section
* When we sell directly to the customer, there’s simply never any returns and any problems are quickly resolved
Just a few reasons we dislike Amazon, but we do get Amazon customers enquiring and purchasing via the website, so it’s worth us being Amazon Merchants for this reason only.
Certainly not all Amazon customers are as the above but it's the small percentage that do the damage.
We used to have the full list of what Aeroclams fit what saddles on Amazon but withdrew this due to the risk of pirates copying us before we become global.
